Cedar Class is a Year 2 cohort led by Mrs Davies, supported by Mrs Cotton.
In Year 2, pupils continue to develop their reading and phonics skills while cultivating a genuine enthusiasm for books. In mathematics, children grow in confidence working with two-digit numbers and begin to establish their multiplication facts. As writers, they learn to extend their sentences and write for a range of purposes. The classroom is a vibrant and purposeful environment where children develop increasing independence as they prepare for the transition into Key Stage 2.
Alongside their academic progress, pupils place great value on learning collaboratively, supporting one another, and building positive friendships. Active, hands-on learning experiences form a central part of our approach, and learning frequently extends beyond the classroom through visits and outdoor opportunities.
