The School Day
Howes Community Primary School encourages excellent attendance and promotes punctuality. We open our doors at 8.45am for the whole school so that children can be in school and ready to start their lessons at 8.55am.
Oak, Ash and Cedar classes: (EYFS and Key Stage One)

Maple, Sycamore, Willow and Fir classes: (Key Stage Two)
Start time: 08:55
End time: 15:30
EYFS and Key Stage One have lunch at 12.00-13.00
Key Stage Two children have lunch at 12.15-13.15
Key Stage One have a morning break at 10.30-10.45 and a non time scheduled break in the afternoon.
Key Stage Two children have a morning break at 10.30-10.45
Wraparound Care
Howes provides a Breakfast Club from 7.45-8.45.
This club is a fantastic way to start the day and costs just £3.00 per child. The price includes a light breakfast.
Our after school provision runs everyday for all pupils (except nursery) from 3.25pm-5:45pm at the following cost:
15.25- 16.30: £3.00 15.25 – 17.45: £6.00

If you would like a place for your child, please book through the My Child At School App (MCAS). These places are allocated automatically and the first applicants will be allocated the places. You will be notified when they are open to book.
* Free of charge clubs – other clubs are charged at £3.50 each.
